Millimeters to inches conversion table

It's hard to know what size you're after sometimes, especially when it comes to the world of miniatures. All of our products we measure in mm or inches. Or sometimes both just to mix it up. So we've put together this handy little table below in order to help you calculate sizing.

The fraction inches are rounded to 1/64 resolution.

Playscale (1:6) - 1/6

Playscale is not something you are going to see a great deal of, it's rather scarce by comparison to the other scales. So a real life 12 foot item would be only 24 Inches tall in 1:6 scale

1 Inch (1:12) - 1/12

This is the most popular scale by far and what the majority of our inventory is comprised of. 1:12 scale is an easy conversion, if it's 12 ft in real life, the the scale version is only 12 Inches tall.

(1:18) - 1/18

Lundby dolls houses made in Sweden, are made in the scale of 1:18, sometimes called 2/3 scale. They are often furnished with 1:16 scale furniture, as play furniture in these scales is often 'fit the box' scale rather than strictly to size.

½ Inch (1:24) - 1/24

Half Inch scale is also fairly popular, you will find many of the half in scale items in our store, they will be clearly marked as such. 1:24 scale conversion is also pretty simple, a real life object which is 12 feet tall would be 6 Inches tall in a half in miniature.

¼ Inch (1:48) - 1/48

Quarter Inch scale miniatures are not as popular, but have quite a dedicated following. A 1:48, most commonly referred to as a 1/4 Inch miniature is easy to convert as well. A real life object which is 12 feet tall would be only 3 inches tall as a 1/4 inch miniature.
