Spanish furniture was simple in design and construction it was much heavier than Italian or French and the ornamentation showed Moorish and Classical influence. This Round table top is square cut giving to produce the heavier look associated with the furniture of this era.
The four leg supports have been carved in the Spanish curvature and notching style forming a flat bracket at the top of each leg to support the table. The feet have been formed as a continuous part of the leg.
The spreader bars with the same curvatures as the legs have a notched joint at the centre were they cross.
The table measures 4 1/2 inches = 11.5cm in diameter x 2 1/2 inches = 6.3cm high.
